Bio

Matt Wuerker is the staff cartoonist for POLITICO, based in Washington DC.  His cartoons are syndicated by Andrews McMeel.  Winner of the 2012 Pulitzer Prize, he’s also won the Herblock Award and the National Press Foundation’s Berryman Award.

He serves on the board of the Cartoonist Rights Network International and is a former officer of the AAEC as well as a former board member of the Herblock Foundation

 

OUR MISSION

The mission of the AAEC is to champion and defend editorial cartooning and free speech as essential to liberty in the United States and throughout the world.

The AAEC aims to be an international leader in support of the human, civil, and artistic rights of editorial cartoonists around the world, and to stand with other international groups in support of the profession.
