Bio

Sage Stossel is an editor and a cartoonist who has regularly cartooned for The Atlantic.com, The Boston Globe and the Provincetown Banner. She is the recipient of the award for Best Editorial Cartoon by the National Society of Newspaper Columnists, and a New England Press Association Award. She was also the 2023 finalist for the Rex Babin Award for excellence in local cartooning.  Her cartoons have been featured by the New York Times, The Washington Post, Politico, CNN Headline News, and Best Editorial Cartoons of the Year. Her books include On the Loose in Boston, On the Loose in Washington, DC., On the Loose in PhiladelphiaOn the Loose in New York City, the graphic novel Starling, and T-Ride, a board book about riding the Boston subway.

OUR MISSION

The mission of the AAEC is to champion and defend editorial cartooning and free speech as essential to liberty in the United States and throughout the world.

The AAEC aims to be an international leader in support of the human, civil, and artistic rights of editorial cartoonists around the world, and to stand with other international groups in support of the profession.
