Bio

Antonella Martino Rotondi is an award-winning visual artist who lives her personal and professional life between Rome and New York. She’s a multimedia designer and developer for teaching at a private university in Rome, as well as a screenwriter, songwriter, and author for cinema and musical theatre and editorial illustrator for “La Voce di New York,” a bi-lingual online newspaper that covers news in the USA and Italy. Furthermore, she’s an International Member of the AAEC – American Association of Editorial Cartoonists for Visual Journalism and a winner of the Business Care International Award 2023 for political illustrations.

Thanks to her training with some of the greatest masters of cinema, such as Marco Bellocchio, Marco Muller, and Alberto Grifi, she had the privilege of being able to work with well-known Italian directors, collaborating on the screenplays of theatrical comedies and short films such as the film adaptation of “Il fascino discreto della parola” (2012) by Maurizio Costanzo and the musical comedy “Facennece’ e cunte” (2011) by Vito Caporale and the Baraonna, “Madonna Lucrezia” (2004) with Alberto Grifi, Gianfranco Pannone, Babak Karimi.

Antonella Martino’s goal is to share and excite people about the visual arts and the concept of beauty in a world increasingly engaged in episodes of hatred and social injustice. In recent years, she has specialized in the art of visual commentary, the only beacon of truth in years of misinformation and propaganda, in the advertising sector and fashion, thanks to a collaboration with the stylist Kevin McDonald.

Martino’s artworks were shown in various Italian and foreign cities; she won the AD ART SHOW 2020 selections and was exhibited at the Oculus at the Westfield World Trade Center in New York City in September 2020.

You can find more information about Anto’s work on her website, antonellamartino.com. She regularly posts her artwork and updates on  Facebook.
