The State of Political Cartooning is Strong

Plus, guest judge Jake Tapper breaks a tie in the election for AAEC Board of Directors with a coin flip.

 

There's a big announcement out today from the President of the Association of American Editorial Cartoonists, Pat Bagley (who, unlike some people, won the popular vote in a landslide without the help of the Russians).

During the recent election for the officers of the AAEC, there was a tie for one of the seats on the Board of Directors. After consulting the Association's by-laws, and our resident Parliamentarian (yes, we actually have one), President Bagley decided to break the tie the All-American way — by flipping a coin — and invited impartial referee Jake Tapper to do the honors.
