The Comics Journal‘s Zach Rabiroff has published a 10,000-word piece on the current state of editorial cartooning in a hostile political (and media) environment. “Political Cartoonists on Facing Donald Trump, Again: ‘There is No Consensus Reality Anymore” includes in depth interviews with Ann Telnaes, Mike Luckovich, Al Goodwyn, Steve Brodner, Dan Perkins, Ted Rall, Jen Sorensen and a half dozen more cartoonists [full disclosure: I’m one of them]. This is a big, sprawling article, so brew some coffee or tea, because you’ll be up late reading it.
