It's Spring, and that means more award announcements!

Steve Sack is this year's winner of the "James Aronson Cartooning with a Conscience Award." The recognition is part of the annual Aronson Awards for Social Justice Journalism.

Recipients will meet at Hunter College in New York City on Monday, May 21, to receive their award and "discuss their inspiration and the challenges of reporting." The event will run from 6:30–9 pm in the Lang Recital Hall at Hunter College, 695 Park Avenue, New York City.

Also, Steve's recent collection of his work for the Star Tribune — "The First and Only Book of Sack—36 Years of Cartoons" — was recently named Best non-Fiction Book by the Minnesota Book Awards.

Steve Sack has been the editorial cartoonist for the Minneapolis Star Tribune since 1981. The St. Paul native has won an assortment of national honors for his work, including the Pulitzer Prize in 2013.
