The Oregonian’s editorial cartoonist Jack Ohman won first-place award in the 2009 national Sigma Delta Chi Awards, presented annually by the Society of Professional Journalists. Ohman entered a selection of cartoons focused on poverty, hunger and homelessness in Oregon.
Ohman has been at the Portland newspaper since 1983, and is syndicated to 300 news organizations through Tribune Media Services.
