Bio

“You know you’ve found your passion when you do it for free” … I heard that somewhere and it applies to me.
I entered editorial cartooning when we entered the 21st Century. Previously my life was filled with illustration and design in retail / fashion advertising. That career took me from Milwaukee, to Minneapolis, NYC, DC and finally Atlanta where I also happily married my hubby of 30 years, Wing.

Actually Political Cartooning filled my time during a stint of unemployment……. Who knew being canned would lead me in a new direction and into the arms of the AAEC with its membership of wonderful, brilliant, informed, FUNNY, cantankerous cartoonists and illustrators. My cartoons HAVE been featured In misc. newspapers and publications like the New York Times, Washington Post, Time Magazine, Newsweek as well as CNN online…all give me something to crow about.

Have I won any major awards? Nope.
Have I made a living through political cartooning? Nope.
Am I one of those cantankerous cartoonists who gets fed up and has to show it to the world? Yup.
Political cartoonists cannot help themselves… as part of this group, I consider myself lucky…poor but lucky.

OUR MISSION
