JD Crowe Wins 2024 Green Eyeshade Award

The Society of Professional Journalists have announced this year’s winners of The Green Eyeshade Awards for the Editorial Cartooning, including JD Crowe of the Alabama Media Group who took First Place; Robert Ariail, who took Second Place for his cartoons in Charleston City Paper; and Dennis Draughon of Capitol Broadcasting Co. with Third Place. Congrats all!

Founded in 1950, the Society of Professional Journalists’ Green Eyeshade is the nation’s oldest regional journalism contest. It highlights the best journalism in North Carolina, Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, South Carolina, Tennessee and West Virginia.
