Hot cartoonist on cartoonist action in new book on Macpherson

Canadian cartoonist Terry Mosher (better known by his pen name Aislin) has written a new book on Duncan Macpherson, one of the best cartoonists to come out of Canada in the 20th Century. “Professional Heckler” is the first biography of Macpherson, “a formidable and groundbreaking artist, he was also an alcoholic who struggled with many personal demons.” The tome is lavishly illustrated with hundreds of examples of Macpherson’s drawings, paintings, and cartoons, as well as archival photographs. The candid bio will be released on May 26 and Bado has a preview over on his blog:

Terry Mosher noted on Facebook: “With bookstores being closed, the publication date on this book has been postponed until a yet-to-be determined date. However, I do have advance copies of the book. For information, please contact terrymosher@aislin.com.”
