Details on the 2024 Cartoonist Convention in Canada!

Greetings esteemed colleagues,

I am able to finally share booking information for our Montreal hotel as well as the convention fee for the 2024 gathering. We have a link on our ACC website where all ACC and AAEC attendees pay for their convention fee which will be $250 CDN. Below is the link on our site where you can pay via Credit Card or Paypal:

When you have booked we would like to know so we can plan your welcome parade accordingly. Please email me, Wes Tyrell, directly to say ‘HOWDY, I’M COMING!’

The Hotel Zero1 will be your home during your stay in Montreal for October 3-6, 2024. It is in a fine location, near old Montreal and a pleasant walk or uber to our venues at the University of Quebec and the McCord Museum [pictured above]. We encourage people to book right away as it is a boutique hotel and space is limited. Rooms which will be held for us until the 1st of September, at which point they will be released.

Essentially there is an option for a handsome room at $177CDN or a larger room at $206CDN (Nightly plus taxes). These prices are terrific for Americans and are for the room alone, an in-room breakfast can be arranged at check-in if you choose or you can just eat at their cafe for a nominal fee.

When booking via the link see the top right corner. You can change info from French and $CDN to English and $USD. Please do not enter a promo code. (If you do not get a booking confirmation email afterwards please contact them and they will forward.)

We have had some adventures getting this going, but it will be heaps of fun hosting our international sisters and brothers here in Canada for the first time since 2016.

Any questions are welcome. Any help appreciated.

With many thanks for your patience and friendship.

Your amigo,
Wes Tyrell
President, Association of Canadian Cartoonists
