Come to Canada in 2020

Our Canadian cartoon compatriots have been hard at work on a joint convention between the AAEC and the ACC next spring — May 14-17. Wes Tyrell has just updated the registration and hotel info, and sent along this message:

“Season’s greetings!

“Please share this update with your members and I ask kindly if you can encourage colleagues to visit our website for more encouragement. We have been working very hard on nailing down venues and adventures that rarely present themselves to us. Prepare yourself for a Canadian adventure you probably thought was not possible —21st century cartoonists from both associations and several international countries, together north of the border inspiring each other and celebrating the best of so many creative people.

“Guy Badeaux, Terry Mosher and myself spent a few days together last week in Ottawa meeting the many people who will be helping make our 2020 ACC/AAEC International convention a world class success.

“With just a few elements to be completed in our schedule, we are excited to get the ball rolling and encourage Canadian and American members, as well as international attendees, to book space at the hotel as well as paying your convention fees. We have a small army of Ottawa people helping us polish the final elements and hope to complete the schedule by the start of January. I will be reaching out to many of you personally and encourage conversation. Many thanks for all the help. —Wes”
