Bio
Adam is the staff editorial cartoonist for The Buffalo News, his hometown daily newspaper. He accepted the position fresh out of college, after winning 3 national awards as a college cartoonist. In 2004, he graduated summa cum laude from the Canisius College Honors Program with a BA in Computer Science and Mathematics.
His work is internationally syndicated through Cagle Cartoons and has appeared in publications such as USA Today, The New York Times, Los Angeles Times and MAD Magazine. After 2 years as a professional he won 3rd Place in the 2007 National Headliner Awards, an honor he repeated later in 2011. In 2013 he won the Clifford K. and James T. Berryman Award, given by the National Press Foundation, and he was a Finalist for the National Cartoonist Society's Reuben Award for Editorial Cartoons.
The Buffalo News has a tradition of great cartoonists, from Bruce Shanks to Tom Toles, both Pulitzer Prize winners. Adam is fortunate to have the daunting task of replacing Toles, who is currently at The Washington Post.
