Last week Patrick Chappatte was in Davos for the World Economic Forum, where he helped put together a "Cartooning for Peace" exhibit. He wrote, "It was a chance to showcase the work of the Geneva Foundation I co-founded with Plantu, and whose honorary chair was Kofi Annan (that’s a separate entity from the Cartooning for Peace assoication organized around Plantu in Paris).
Chappatte added, "In Davos, I seized every opportunity to talk about the plight of some fellow cartoonists like Musa Kart from Turkey and Hani Abbas from Syria. Aside from the exhibit, we had two panels on the subject of freedom of expression, with Human Rights Watch’s executive director Kenenth Roth. You will find some media links below."
