As most of you know, most of journalism’s major awards are handed out in the spring, with the deadlines to enter in the dead of winter. There is, however, one outlier: The National Press Foundation’s Clifford K. and James T. Berryman Award.
Named after the only father-son duo to win the Pulitzer Prize, the Berryman is “open to U.S.-based editorial cartoonists for work that exhibits power to influence public opinion, plus good drawing and striking effect… and represent the highest standards of journalism.” The award includes a cash prize of $2,500 and the winner is invited to the NPF’s annual awards event in February.
The deadline to enter this year’s Berryman Award is SEPTEMBER 30, 2024. For compete details, click here: https://nationalpress.org/
