After the layoffs, part II: Co-workers & local media recall cartoonist Charlie Daniel

In the wake of sudden staff cuts at several Gannett papers last week, friends and co-workers of Charlie Daniel explained in no uncertain terms why he will be missed.

(1) His long-time daily paper, the News Sentinel, takes a brief look back at Daniel's 60-year career. In March, the News Sentinel will publish a retrospective special section looking back on Daniel’s 60 years of cartooning in Knoxville.
