AAEC update + award season alert

After a slight delay, the AAEC Notebook is on its way — look for it in your mailbox this week! The double issue is both a year-end wrap-up of 2017 and a special 60th anniversary update of the Golden Notebook. The 60th volume of our glorified newsletter weighs in at 60 pages (appropriately enough) and includes the latest version of the association by-laws for your parliamentary pleasure.

The package also includes a bill for your 2018 dues. Due to the lateness of this mailing (which was supposed to go out in December —sorry about that), we have extended the deadline for the early-payment discount on your membership fee.

Speaking of which, Wanda was aware of the double-billing notice most of you  received a few weeks ago, and has removed the extra charge. It was apparently an automated artifact left over from the PNA days.

If you do not receive a mailing by the end of the month, please contact Wanda Nicholson at editorialcartoonists@gmail.com about updating your connect info.

Finally, awards season is here. You can find all the deadlines and links to this year's contests on the website: https://news.aaecrebuild.wpengine.com/aaec/2017/12/cartoon-contest-deadlines-for-2018.html

First up — the Pulitzer Prize. Entries due Jan. 25.

Happy hunting!
