The AAEC and Association of Canadian Cartoonists will be joining with the Cartoon Art Museum in San Franscisco for a 3-day celebration of editorial art and political cartoonists, October 5-8, 2023.

AAEC co-sponsors NYC Roz Chast exhibit and events

The Museum of the City of New York is currently hosting a cartoon exhibition: Roz Chast: Cartoon Memoirs, 
a retrospective of the celebrated *New Yorker* artist and cartoonist’s work since 1978. The Association of
American Editorial Cartoonists is an official co-sponsor of the series of events below accompanying the
exhibit (beginning next week, which features AAEC member Liza Donnelly). As a co-sponsor, our membership is
offered a 25% off discount on tickets. - “Funny Ladies: A Conversation with Four New Yorker Cartoonists” on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at 6:30 pm – The New Yorker cartoonists Liza Donnelly, Liana Finck, Marisa Acocella Marchetto, and Barbara Smaller discuss the formation of their distinctive styles, the creative process, and the cartooning business today. - “TOON Talk | From The New Yorker to Kids’ Comics” on Tuesday, July 12 at 6:30 pm – Pioneering comics publisher Francoise Mouly will have a conversation with New Yorker cover artist Frank Viva about the unique level of comedic, emotional, and artistic expression that visual narratives inspire. - “Hip Hop and Comics with Ed Piskor” on *Thursday, August 4 at 6:30 pm* – Ed Piskor, The New York Times best-selling, award-winning cartoonist, will give an exciting visual presentation that discusses the 40 year kinship and transformations between hip-hop culture and comic books.
