Congrats to 2024’s Sigma Delta Chi Winners!

Each year, the Society of Professional Journalists gives out their award for excellence in journalism — the Sigma Delta Chi —  and this time around there are three cartoonists with connections to the AAEC who won.

Rob Rogers was cited in the category of Editorial Cartooning (circulation 40,000+), Nancy Ohanian was selected for her work in Editorial Cartooning (circulation up to 40,000), and Susie Cagle won in the Illustration category for her work on the graphic journalism piece In Harm’s Way,” along with a team of staffers from The Marshall Project. Congrats all!

SPJ’s SDX awards cover print, radio, television and online, and recognize outstanding work published or broadcast in the previous year. They are one of the oldest journalism prizes still honoring cartoonists today.
