“Do Awards Still Matter?” was the big panel on Friday afternoon with Lalo Alcaraz, who was snubbed for the Pulitzer in 2021 but won the Herblock in 2022, Clay Jones, a Herblock finalist who won this year’s Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights Award for Editorial Cartooning, Signe Wilkinson, the first woman to win the Pulitzer Prize, and moderator Kevin “KAL” Kallaugher.

Friday night saw political cartoonist and TV show creator Keith Knight (the K chronicles, Woke) sit down with indie filmmaker turned graphic novelist James Spooner to discuss the pitfalls, winding roads and sometimes success of their mainstream and underground work. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Du_lOVFlM-A
