"The Three Mikes" Headline National Headliner
Three Mikes scored at this year's National Headliner Awards, the journalism contest held every year by the Press Club of Atlantic City, N.J.
Mike Peters took first place in the editorial cartoon category of the National Headliner Awards. Second in the editorial cartoon category was Mike Luckovich of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution and Creators Syndicate, and third was Mike Ramirez -- who is having a very good year when it comes to awards -- of Investor's Business Daily and Copley News Service.
Another AAEC member who took home a National Headliners Award was Matt Wuerker, editorial cartoonist for Washington D.C.'s Politico, who received third place for Illustrative Graphics for newspapers and magazines.
