New Award Winners
Stephen Templeton recently won a 2006 Excellence in Journalism Award from the Philadelphia Society of Professional Journalists.
Templeton, who draws for The Intelligencer (Philadelphia Suburban Newspapers) took First Place in the Editorial Cartoon category. The PSPJ includes papers from the Philly metro area, New Jersey and the state of Delaware.

SW Parra also took first place in the editorial cartoon category of the recently
announced 2005 Better Newspapers Contest by the California Newspaper Publishers
Association. Parra noted that "this is the very first time The Fresno
Bee has placed first in this
category."
