The Notebook continues its exclusive coverage of the Editorial Cartoonist Wedding of the Century with pictures from the nuptials of Clay Bennett of the Christian Science Monitor and Cindy Procious of the Huntsville Times.
The couple was married on Saturday, May 12th, at 1:00 in the afternoon at their home in St. Petersburg, Florida. The Rev. Dennis Draughon, of the Universal Life Church and the Scranton Times, officiated.
About 20 people made up the wedding party, comprised of the bride and groomメs parents, their respective siblings, the brideメs children and the ministerメs family.
The Best Men were Matt and Ben Procious. The Maiden of Honor/Flower Girl was Sarah Procious. The bride and groom wrote their own vows.
It was a gorgeous sunny day ラ a bit on the hot side, but a tent was erected in the side yard to shelter the ceremony and the guests.
The ceremony itself went off almost without a hitch, although the minister got a big laugh at one point when he looked at the groom and said, モCindy,ヤ and then looked at the bride and said, モClay.ヤ
After the bride and groom kissed, toasts were made and the party enjoyed a delightful catered lunch.
And they all lived happily ever after.
