Chicago Defender Updates Cartoon Page
From editorial cartoonist Tim Jackson comes this big announcement regarding his newspaper:
"After four decades of Mickey, Donald, Hazel, Mandrake, Henry & Popeye . . . The Chicago Defender Newspaper will debut an 'All Black Cartoons' comics page featuring comics strips created by African-American cartoonists."
The new page launches today, Monday April 3.
Last year, The Chicago Defender celebrated a century in publication.
