Tampa Tribune hires new cartoonist
From E&P staff reportsPaul Combs has been named editorial cartoonist of The Tampa Tribune effective Oct. 21. He succeeds Wayne Stayskal, who retired from the newspaper in January.
Tribune Editorial Page Editor Rosemary Goudreau said Combs who she described as "moderately conservative" will emphasize local issues in Florida. Combs is currently a self-syndicated cartoonist for six newspapers in northern Ohio.
Stayskal is still syndicated by Tribune Media Services.
[Editors note: Shortly after getting the Tampa gig, Combs also sent in his membership fee to the AAEC, so welcome Paul!]
