William C. Warren
William Warren is recent graduate of Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina where he worked as the staff cartoonist for The Old Gold and Black, the University's student newspaper. He graduated with a BA with honors in Political Science as well as a minor in Studio Art. William has been drawing cartoons for his school newspapers since 5th grade and drew his first editorial cartoon in the 9th grade. Although born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, William now resides in Washington D.C.
William has received the following awards for his cartoons:
2007 - Charles M. Schulz Award, Scripps Howard Foundation national journalism award
- Associated Collegiate Press award for best Comic Strip/Panel cartoon - 1st place
2006 - John Locher Award - 1st Place
- SPJ Collegiate Cartooning Award - National Finalist
- Atlanta Journal Constitution cartooning contest - 1st Place
2005 - John Locher Award - 3rd Place
