Robert Unell
In 1984, after working for three Kansas City advertising agencies, Bob founded his own firm, Unell Associates, Inc. That same year, Bob and his wife Barbara co-founded Twins Magazine, the national magazine for parents of multiples.
In 1999, Bob and his wife Barbara established The Brenner Family Education Center, which manages two non-profit organizations, Uncle Dan's Report Card, helping parents teach young children the habits that lead to success in school and in life; and Back in the Swing, an annual shopping event that raises funds for breast cancer survivorship centers, services and research.
Bob has also served as an adjunct professor at the Communications Studies Department at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. In March of 2001, Bob fulfilled a childhood dream of being a cartoonist by launching a weekly cartoon strip, The Tech Channel, in The Kansas City Star. In 2003, he began a weekly editorial cartoon series, "Panel Discussion" on the Business Forum page of The Kansas City Star. His editorial cartoons also appear on the Opinion page of the Star. Bob lives in Leawood, Kansas with his wife Barbara. They have two children, Justin and Amy, and a Westie named Molly.
