J.R. Lane
J.R. Lane began drawing local cartoons for the EL PASO TIMES (TEXAS) in 1993. From there he relocated to the Dallas-Ft. Worth area. From 1998 to 2001 he drew a weekly political cartoon for the now-defunct LEWISVILLE NEWS. From 2001 to 2006 he did local and national editorial cartoons for the DENTON RECORD-CHRONICLE, a sister paper of the DALLAS MORNING NEWS. His cartoons have appeared in Charles Brooks' BEST EDITORIAL CARTOONS OF THE YEAR, EDITIONS 2005, 06, '07, '08. Currently he is doing freelance work.
