AAEC - Cartoonist Profile

Barry Hunau
I am an editorial cartoonist in the San Francisco Bay Area. I have had several cartoons published by "The San Francisco Chronicle", the largest daily in my area. I have also had two of my cartoons included in "Best Editorial Cartoons of The Year". My cartoons appear on a regular basis in "The Jewish News Weekly of Northern California" and "The Jerusalem Post". I have studied Mid-East politics and history and enjoy commenting on this particular area of world. As an undergrad, I was a regular contributor to the U.C.L.A. daily Bruin. I am an associate member of the AAEC and frankly am in awe of the talent in this group. My cartoons are slightly to the political left. I rely on humor and try to avoid personal attacks to make my points. Being a cartoonist is something I have wanted to do since I was old enough to pick up a pen. I am trying to self syndicate and actually make a living doing this.
