John Hopkins
John Hopkins has been an avid fan of the political cartooning profession since childhood. His early favorites, Jeff MacNelly and Jim Borgman, among others, fueled an early ambition to follow in their career path. However, as often happens, his career path detoured into the graphic design field. As a result, he has run a successful graphic design business in Southern California area since 1990. As part of that business, he has rendered cartoons and humorous illustrations for everything from Fortune 500 companies to childrens’ restaurant menus. Recently he has revived that childhood ambition and begun drawing political cartoons again. His political cartoons have appeared in the Orange County Register.
