Donn Frizzi
Frizzi's Biography
I've been drawing since I was a little kid...and my artwork still hasn't improved. But in a world where you've got to sell the sizzle as well as the steak, I'm more concerned with substance, rather than style. I believe that my drawing backs up the punchline and not the other way around. I love to follow current events and I love to draw! It's a marriage made in Vegas! The fun is keeping up with current events....and since editorial cartoons have the shelf life of a sneeze, the challenge is coming up with new material, several each week. I have a Bachelors degree in Political Science from Indiana State University (home of Larry Bird and Eugene V. Debs). I made my bones at the Vincennes (IN-Home of Red Skelton) University Trailblazer under Prof. Fred Walker Jr. I was also a contributor to The Wahoo Reader in Dallas. I was born in Pittsburgh (home of Dennis Miller and Charles Grodin), went to school in Indiana (home of David Letterman and Jim Davis), lived in Dallas (home of Tex Avery and Jerry Bittle) and now live in Washington (north of Lincoln and east of Peoria, home of Richard Pryor and Sam Kinison). I live with my wife, Heddy and a little cat. You'll also see them from time to time in my "Cat & Gal" cartoons.
