Stephen Rustad Born in Chicago the last year of WWII. Family moved to LA before I was old enough to protest. Left LA as soon as I was able. 3-year stint in the Army - mostly in Germany. Attended UCLA before and after the Army. Graduated UC Berkeley shortly after the tear gas cleared in 1970. Started work in retail advertising production in Oakland. Hired as a Federal Sky Marshal at the crack of '71 and drew cartoons as a "cover" while flying shotgun on Pan Am for a little more than a year. Left the govt. to work for Hallmark Cards in '72. Daniel Saad Dan Saad has been a cartoonist for more than 40 years. His work has appeared in the Heritage newspapers, starting with The News-Herald, for 30 years. In addition, he has been drawing editorial cartoons for Crain's Detroit Business since 1994.

In 2016, Dan earned a First Place Award of Excellence from the Society of Professional Journalists, Detroit Chapter for his December 7 editorial cartoon, "Day at the Races," in Crain's Detroit Business. Throughout his 34-year career, Bill “Whitey” Sanders, a Western Kentucky University alumnus, produced thousands of editorial cartoons, which appeared in over 200 newspapers and magazines.

Sanders’ cleverly drawn cartoons communicated a very powerful message. To make them thought provoking, he would often “go for the jugular,” using cartoons to call attention to social injustices, politicians’ foibles or any subject that piqued his ire.
