Despite being born in Philadelphia and spending ten years in Oklahoma (through no fault of his own), Rob Rogers considers himself a true Pittsburgher. His work has become a staple of Pittsburgh culture while also receiving national play.

After graduating from Carnegie-Mellon University with a master's degree in fine arts, Rogers was hired in 1984 as staff cartoonist for The Pittsburgh Press. He joined the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette in 1993, after it bought the Press.

V.C. Rogers V. Cullum Rogers has been editorial cartoonist for The Independent Weekly (www.indyweek.com) in Durham, North Carolina, since 1997. He has served as Secretary-Treasurer of the Association of American Editorial Cartoonists since 1998 and was editor of its quarterly magazine, the Notebook, from 1996 to 2002. In December 2002 he chaired a nationally televised panel discussion in Morristown, New Jersey, commemorating the 100th anniversary of the death of Thomas Nast. He's currently working on a history of the AAEC.

Joseph Rollins

Born and raised in a small town in Illinois, Joe knew early on that his love for drawing cartoons would always be part of his life. For the past twenty years, Joe has been drawing editorial cartoons for various weekly newspapers, as well as illustrating children's books. His cartoons have appeared in such magazines as Woman's World, Country, Country Woman and The Saturday Evening Post.

John Rose John Rose has always wanted to be a cartoonist. He started drawing on his parents' living room walls and continued throughout his school years in the margins of his test papers (hoping for extra credit). The Virginia-born Rose graduated from James Madison University in 1986 with a bachelor of fine arts degree in art and art history. After graduation he drew freelance sports cartoons for newspapers in Manassas, Virginia. Stephen Rustad Born in Chicago the last year of WWII. Family moved to LA before I was old enough to protest. Left LA as soon as I was able. 3-year stint in the Army - mostly in Germany. Attended UCLA before and after the Army. Graduated UC Berkeley shortly after the tear gas cleared in 1970. Started work in retail advertising production in Oakland. Hired as a Federal Sky Marshal at the crack of '71 and drew cartoons as a "cover" while flying shotgun on Pan Am for a little more than a year. Left the govt. to work for Hallmark Cards in '72.
